Ex-Arsenal youngster Yunus Musah has sent a touching message to former teammate Bukayo Saka after the pair faced off on Friday night. The duo lined up against each other as England faced USA in their second group stage clash of the 2022 edition of the World Cup.
The match ended in a stalemate as neither team could find the quality required to beat the other in front of goal, despite some moments of danger. After the game, Musah posted a photo of himself and Saka on social media, swapping shirts with one another after years since they crossed paths on the football pitch.
The caption on his Instagram read: "It’s been years since the days at Hale End but I couldn’t be more grateful to cross paths again in football’s biggest stage.”

The 19-year-old's rise to stardom has only continued, with his appearances at the World Cup starting to gain even further admiration for his ability and potential. It could prove to be a huge mistake from the Gunners that they couldn't get him on board with the project, with the teenager now plying his trade with Valencia.
That's not to say a return isn't on the cards though as Musah refused to rule out the possibility when asked by CBS Sports: "You never know. I had a great time at Arsenal developing there, I still have friends there, the coaches were great, being an Arsenal player in general is great.
"I loved playing for Arsenal. I’ve nothing against the club and if one day it turns out to be that it’s time to go back then it’s possible. For now I’m really happy at Valencia and I’m looking forward to carrying this season on in the same way we’re doing now."
