Forgotten Celtic defender Alexandro Bernabei has finally sealed his transfer exit.
The Argentinian full-back, 24, has joined Brazilian club Internacional on a three-year contract.
There had been fears that a permanent move away from Celtic could collapse after it stalled in recent weeks.
However, the Brazilian side have now issued confirmation over the reported £4.5m transfer deal with Bernabei staying in South America after his loan spell.
A Sport Club Internacional statement read: "Sport Club Internacional announces that it has concluded negotiations with Celtic Football Club for the permanent signing of left-back Alexandro Bernabei.
"The athlete, who stood out in the 2024 season, has signed a contract valid until December 2028.
"Bernabei arrived at Internacional in March 2024, on loan, and became a key player in the team, contributing to the team's recovery in the second half of the year.
"In the Brazilian Championship, he played 23 matches, scored 3 goals and provided 6 assists, a performance that earned him the award for best left-back in the competition.
"With Bernabei staying, Internacional reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a solid base in the squad, betting on the continuity of key players and reinforcing the group specifically for the 2025 season.
"The Club's strategy is to ensure a competitive team, which can achieve great results and provide much joy to the Colorado fans this season."

Bernabei said of his move: “I am very happy here, and so is my family.
"I want to continue giving my best to help Inter achieve great results. I know how big and important it is to wear this shirt.
"Now, I have to continue seeking the best achievements together with my teammates and our fans."
Bernabei has transformed his career since joining Internacional on loan as he went from squad player at Celtic to superstar in Brazil.
Bernabei was one of the best left-backs in Brazil last year, scoring three goals and assisting five across 23 appearances in the country's top flight.
Bernabei's displays in Serie A saw him named in their Team of the Season and now he wants to cap it by winning a call-up to the World Cup winners Argentina - even if he's quizzed on his eligibility for Brazil.
"My dream is to play for the Argentine national team," he said.
"You have to keep working. If it has to happen, it will happen at some point, hopefully.
"It would be a dream to play with my country's shirt.
"I don't know Lionel Messi and I would love to meet him. If it's on the pitch with Argentina, even better...
"We have players like Julio Soler, Colo Barco and Francisco Ortega who have played there, but I am up for the task of competing for that position.
"They even asked me if I could play for Brazil here!
