'Forget Burnley and Everton' - Leeds United told they're in 'big trouble' in relegation fight

Talksport's Gabby Agbonlahor believes that Leeds United are the favourites to finish in the final relegation place following their 4-0 defeat to Manchester City. Leeds welcomed Manchester City to Elland Road on Saturday knowing that a result against the defending Premier League champions could go a long way in helping their survival chances.

Instead, they fell 4-0 to City, unable to match the quality of the league leaders who proved to be too much for Jesse Marsch's side. While Leeds did hold a five point gap between themselves and Everton, that divide has now been made considerably smaller after the Toffees managed to beat Chelsea 1-0 at home on Sunday, reducing the Whites lead to just two points.

Everton also have a game in hand on Leeds too, and will be playing away against Watford in the coming weeks who have the worst home record in the league. And Agbonlahor reckons Leeds are in big trouble heading into the final weeks of the season.

"Leeds for me were playing as if they were safe," said Agbonlahor on Talksport's Gameday. "If they go into the changing rooms after and look at the table, the table shows that Leeds have 34 points, are behind Burnley now and have got the worst goal difference out of all three teams fighting to stay in the Premier League out of Burnley and Everton.

"Leeds fixtures as well Faye [Carruthers], I'm looking at them, Arsenal away who are fighting for the Champions League, Chelsea at home, who are going to finish on a high some of their players. Brighton have just beaten Wolves away, so they've got to play Brighton at Elland Road and then Brentford away at the end of the season, Brentford players will be playing for new deals, playing to be part of the team next year.

"Leeds are in trouble, they could be one of the teams that I'm looking at could be going down. Forget Burnley and Everton, I think Leeds are in big trouble."
