Forest Holidays to open brand new Brecon Beacons holiday park for 2022

Forest Holidays is offering up a brand new staycation option for Brits as it prepares to open a brand new holiday park in the spectacular Brecon Beacons National Park.

The new site will feature 40 "eco-sensitive" cabins, all nestled away within 400 acres of woodland in Garwnant.

Other on-site amenities will include a new shop, bike hire facilities, and a number of outdoor experiences and activities. Meanwhile the site's existing Visitor Centre and cafe will be given a major upgrade.

Holidaymakers will be able to choose between day visits to the site as well as overnight stays when the new site opens in December 2022.

Speaking of overnight stays, there are some luxurious cabins set to be on offer.

For example, couples may want to opt for the Golden Oak Hideaway cabins, while families can check out the Golden Oak Treehouses which sleep up to 10 guests.

Want something with a touch of extra luxury? There will also be a number of White Willow Premium cabins which include perks such as outdoor kitchens with pizza ovens. (You can take a sneak peek inside here as they were first unveiled last year when the company opened its new Delamere Forest location).

You can find out more about the cabins on the Forest Holidays website here.

There will be plenty for adventurers to explore too, from the breathtaking forest trails in the area to activities such as building dens, searching for mini beasts and a whole host of new Forest Ranger experiences.

Then of course there's so much to see and do in Brecon Beacons.

The national park has long been a hit with hikers and ramblers thanks to the countless paths and sprawling beauty to be found in the region.

Popular spots include hikes up to Sugar Loaf Mountain or Pen y Fan, while at nighttime areas such as the Usk Reservoir, Llanthony Priory and Hay Bluff are a hit with stargazers after a glimpse of the Milky Way.

Or, for those who like to go off the beaten path, there are fun alternative ways to explore the park too.

It will mark Forest Holidays' second location in Wales, the other being in Snowdonia National Park.

Bookings have already opened for the Brecon Beacons location. For example, you can find four-night stays from £520 staying in a two-bedroom Silver Birch cabin.
