Forensics officer appears to examine bullet casing at crime scene in Rochdale - a shop has been cordoned off

A forensics officer has been pictured appearing to examine a bullet casing at a crime scene in Rochdale tonight.

A cordon is up around a shop on Albert Royds Street.

The shutters have been lifted and items appear to have been knocked over inside.

Pictures are being taken at the scene by an officer in white overalls.

Uniformed officers have been seen guarding the cordon.

The nature of the incident is not yet clear.

The officer appears to be taking a picture of a bullet casing.

Another image shows a torch shining at the casing.
