Forecast for Leeds on Tuesday as snow map shows huge blizzard heading to UK

Leeds is set for a mostly mild day on Tuesday but temperatures could drop as the week goes on as a huge snowstorm could hit the country.

A massive snow storm may be on its way to the UK and we could be seeing 18 hours of snowfall, with the first flurry of snow hitting the city next week, according to WXCharts.

Although freezing conditions could hit in the coming days, Leeds is set for a mostly mild day today (February 20) with cloudy and some bright spells in parts.

A spokesperson for Met Office said: "Generally mild and cloudy with some further light rain over the hills. Some brief brighter spells are possible, most likely in the east. Maximum temperature 12 °C."

Leeds will wake to an overcast day on Tuesday from 6am until 10am, it will turn cloudy briefly at 11am before the day turns overcast once more across the city. The overcast will turn to cloud once again at 3pm until sunset.

Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Cloudy Wednesday with rain spreading southeastwards. Widespread frost at first Thursday, with increasing cloud and rain from the northwest later. Sunny spells and isolated wintry showers Friday, mainly along coasts.
