Gold Coast have put to bed any questions over Kieran Foran's future, re-signing the veteran half on a one-year deal.
Days after Foran made it clear publicly he still wanted to play on beyond this NRL season, the 33-year-old locked in his future at the Titans for next year.
The deal means Foran's career will extend into a 17th NRL campaign, joining St George Illawarra's Ben Hunt as the only players from the first decade of the century contracted for 2025.
The feat is even more remarkable when considering the time Foran spent sidelined through the middle of his career, as he battled multiple long-term injuries.
"Having been around the game for a long time, I know that we've got something good growing here ... and I'm keen to play on into next season," Foran said.
"My body is feeling good, and I feel like I've played some good football this season so far and while that's the case, I'm keen to push on for another year.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity and I'm really enjoying my time on the Gold Coast, so it was a simple decision for me in the end."
Foran re-signing means the Titans will have decisions to make in their halves next year, given he has been the one constant at No.7 this season.
Des Hasler is set to make a call as soon as this week on the make up of his spine, with Keano Kini at fullback, Jayden Campbell at No.6 and AJ Brimson a chance of returning from injury.
Wallabies No.10 Carter Gordon will also be thrown into the mix from next year, when it is expected he too could be best suited to the five-eighth role.
Elsewhere, Manly have re-signed prop Josh Aloiai on a two-year deal through until the end of 2027.
It was rumoured last offseason that Aloiai could potentially head to the English Super League, but he has since made clear he wants to remain at Manly.
"I feel like Josh has been in as good as form as he has ever been in his career at the moment,'' coach Anthony Seibold said.
"He has been really consistent with what he has brought to the group.
"Josh is a real mentor to the younger forwards in guys like Haumole Olakau'atu and Gordon Chan Kum Tong, amongst others.
"He has an influential and positive effect on our group."
