• A review of the academic Matt Goodwin’s book Bad Education incorrectly referred to Stockport when noting the author’s controversial posts about the Southport knife attacks in July 2024 (“A lapsed liberal’s war on ‘woke’ lecture”, 19 January, Review, p40).
• Michael Foot was a leader of the Labour party (from 1980 to 1983) but he was never prime minister as we said in an article (“Call for ‘censorship culture’ to end as Unity Mitford’s German diary is revealed”, 19 January, p16). This error was in our print edition only.
• The stout made by the brewery Fuller’s is called Black Cab, not “Black Cap” (“Now the Guinness shortage crisis has come to a head...”, 19 January, p44).
• It was his PhD programme that Kuba Fast, CEO of Chase UK, put on hold, not his master’s degree as we said (“Profile”, 19 January, p58). This error was in our print edition only.
• The vault featured in an article on gold was mistakenly said to be in Geneva in the subheading and a picture caption; as the article itself stated, the vault is in Zurich (“Go for gold”, 19 January, Magazine, p18).
• An article about a new collection of Mary Shelley’s journal entries and letters omitted the book’s title; it is Mary Shelley in Bath (“Frankenstein inspired by suicide of Mary Shelley’s half-sister, diary reveals”, 19 January, p28).
