• An article about the case of Lucy Letby (“Why we find it hard to believe this smiling nurse was a serial killer”, 7 July, p53) quoted Peter Skelton KC and described him as the prosecuting barrister in the recently concluded retrial. In fact, he is representing the parents of some of the babies in the Thirlwall public inquiry and the remarks were made by him at the inquiry’s first hearing.
• Paul Goodman, the author of an opinion piece on the Conservatives’ future (“No Johnson, no deals with Farage: it’s time the Tories got serious”, 7 July, p50), was described as “the executive editor of ConservativeHome”; he formerly held that position.
• A picture agency miscaptioning error led us to say that an image showed workers inspecting the propellers of the Titanic in dry dock. Rather, it showed the liner’s sister ship, the Olympic, also built by Harland & Wolff (“Struggles at Titanic shipyard reflect UK’s faded naval power”, 7 July, p56).
• An article said that the Hairy Bikers made a series about food “of the West Country” when it should have said food of Britain’s west coast (“‘Dave loved being a Hairy Biker’”, 23 June, Magazine, p10).
• A review of the BBC Three series A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder misnamed the missing teenager character Andie as “Abbie” (“Television”, 7 July, New Review, p36).
