• An article (Hot pants! Boxers are the cool new look for women, 2 July, p22) misnamed Lauren Cunningham, a fashion writer and stylist quoted in the piece, as Lauren Sherman. The latter is also a fashion journalist, based in the US.
• A review misspelt the soul singer Bettye LaVette’s surname as “Lavette”, and named her record label as “Vee-Jay” rather than Jay-Vee (Albums, 18 June, New Review, p35).
• In reporting our own study of restaurants that charge penalties for no-shows (Didn’t turn up for your table for six? That’ll be £375 a head, sir. Service not included…, 2 July, p13), we erroneously referred to the survey covering the 100 top restaurants in “the UK and Northern Ireland”.
• An article said that Graham Coxon, a founding member of the alternative rock band Blur, has a love of jazz autobiographies when “biographies” was meant (On my radar, 2 July, New Review, p4).
