People rushed to help those injured when a lorry mounted a pavement on a busy road earlier this afternoon.
Merseyside Police were called to Oakfield Road at around 1.40pm on Saturday, March 25 following reports that a lorry had mounted the kerb.
Following the incident, which completely destroyed a bus stop at the bottom of Thirlmere Road, residents have told the ECHO how football fans and off-duty nurses were quick to lend a hand.

Coach driver Chris Quinn, 53, said he had dropped 30 Celtic fans off at Anfield Stadium ahead of the match when he witnessed the incident.
He added that fans from both sides ran over to help people who had been injured, as well as off-duty nurses who were also nearby.
One resident said she went over to help those involved in the crash including a man who was on the floor. She said "you couldn’t fault the emergency services" who all arrived on scene really quickly. At least two people have been taken to hospital following the incident.
One woman said the area was "absolutely rammed", with Anfield Stadium set to host a Liverpool vs Celtic Legends charity game. The lorry has now been recovered and Oakfield Road has reopened while the bus stop remains cordoned off.
