A football bet has landed a lucky punter with a huge £158,000 for a 60p stake after an incredibly unlikely set of results came together. The gambler correctly predicted every Premier League and Championship result at the weekend.
The bet came in after the punter got the results of all 16 games right. It was a tense afternoon, with two late comebacks finally seeing the punt over the line.
A comeback from Watford, with goals in the 83rd and 86th minute, saw that part of the accumulator come off and then Wilfried Zaha scored for Crystal Palace against Southampton in the 92nd minute to see them beat Southampton 2-1, reports the Mirror.
The punter then just needed Man City to earn three points against Leeds in the late kick-off. The Citizens did just that, winning 4-0 in Yorkshire.
