A man has been charged after footage emerged of a woman allegedly escaping from a car boot on a Scots street.
Emergency services were called to the Main Street area of Kelty, Fife, around 5.30pm on Sunday following the incident.
Stunned locals looked on and began filming as the scene unfolded.
In the footage, a man in a white top can be seen near the black vehicle.
But moments after he walks away, a woman emerges from inside.
Her legs are shown dangling out of the vehicle as she manages to push the door open.
The woman then pulls herself up and stumbles out of the motor.
She appears startled and begins to run away from the vehicle before the clip is cut off abruptly.
In the background of the video, one person can be heard shouting: "What is he playing at"?
Police Scotland confirmed they attended the incident and said a 46-year-old man had been arrested and charged following a "disturbance".
He appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday March 14 and made no plea.
He faces two charges of threatening and abusive behaviour, a charge of abduction, dangerous driving and resisting, obstructing or hindering a police officer.
The man has also been charged with three other driving offences, including failing to cooperate with an alcohol or drug test.
He was released on bail and a second court appearance date has yet to be set.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.30pm on Sunday, 13 March, police were called to the Main Street area of Kelty, following a report of a disturbance.
"A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"He appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday, 14 March.”
