This is the dramatic moment flames and smoke billowed from a tower block in Ashton-under-Lyne after a blaze broke out.
The fire broke out in a flat at Portland House on Katherine Street just before 11.30am this morning (Tuesday). Fire crews rushed to the scene as police officers closed off the road.
A video clip taken at the scene showed huge plumes of black smoke billowing from the broken window of the flat. It showed flames inside the property.

The clip also showed fire crews on the scene as they used a hose to extinguish the flames. A spokesperson for the fire service said residents were evacuated safely from the building.
Three people were assessed by paramedics, though no-one was taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "Just before 11.30am this morning (Tuesday 31st January), five fire engines from Ashton, Hyde, Mossley, Gorton and Hollins fire station were called to reports of a building fire involving flats on Katherine Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne.
"The crews arrived quickly at scene. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses used two safety jets to extinguish the fire. Firefighters have been in attendance for around two hours and are still at the scene."
