Foo Fighters fans 'gutted' after being placed in ticket queue for an hour

Foo Fighters fans have been left feeling 'frustrated' after struggling to snap up tour tickets through Ticketmaster.

Announcing the tour on Twitter, the band shared dates on Tuesday with a gig at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester on June 13 and June 15, 2024. They will also play in London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Glasgow. You can get tickets here.

Thousands of loyal fans joined the virtual Ticketmaster queue, with some lucky enough to grab tickets. Others weren't so lucky, and took to Twitter to share their frustration.

Support for the June 13 gig will include Wet Leg and Loose Articles, while acts including Courtney Barnett, Honeyblood, Shame, Hot Milk will perform with the band on the other five dates.

As reported by WalesOnline, The Foo Fighters told fans how to secure tickets to their shows. The band said: "Get ready early, be prepared with your card details and expect to wait a little while beyond 9am. Don’t give up refreshing the page whilst in the queue. We’ve got this."

However, many Foo Fighters fans were left 'fuming' after following the steps and still struggling. Some even claimed they were 'kicked out' of the queue.

One frustrated fan said: "Was in the Foo Fighters queue for an hour and a half, just to get kicked out at the end ??! what an absolute joke, sort it out @TicketmasterUK #foofighters #ticketmaster."

A second tweet read: "Ticketmaster are a joke, got to front of queue twice and then kicked back out and 2000th again, finally get to front again then none left. Please add more dates!!"

A third fan said: "In this day and age, why, when trying to buy tickets for a gig do you need to enter into a virtual queue for an hour and still be behind 2000+ people. There must be a more efficient way of buying tickets these days. #Ticketmaster #foofighterstickets #foofighters."

A fourth said: "What a joke ticketmaster. Let's people queue finally. Doesn't tell people they've sold out and then I get a message saying suspected bot. Like wtf? Absolute terrible service."

One Foo Fighters fan had a suggestion to others still trying to get tickets. He shared his top tip on Twitter.

The tweet read: "Anyone struggling on Ticketmaster to get tickets for the London leg of #foofighters - try the London Stadium direct website - GA still on sale as of a few minutes ago."

One fan responded: "Thank you so much for this tip! Managed to get excellent seats after hours of waiting in the Ticketmaster queue with no success!"
