Fans trying to buy tickets to see the Foo Fighters for their 2024 tour have shared their dismay after missing out on tickets that seem to have been immediately put up for resale.
Tickets for the 'Everything or Nothing at All' UK Tour went on sale on Friday morning following an earlier pre-sale. The band's six UK stadium dates will kick off with a show at Emirates Old Trafford, before heading to Glasgow, London, Cardiff and Birmingham over the course of June 13 through 27 of next year (2024).
They will perform two nights at Old Trafford on June 13 and June 15. But with it being the band’s first tour since the passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died in March 2022 aged 50, it was always going to be in high demand on Ticketmaster and SeeTickets.

Fans took to social media to share their disappointment at being unable to secure tickets for the Manchester shows. One fan wrote: “All I wanted was 3 tickets for Manchester. Absolutely gutted I can't get any. Been online all morning. There's none available. Never seen Foo Fighters before. Not fair. Feel like crying.”
Another said: “Ticketmaster let me on to choosing the tickets for Foo Fighters in Manchester at 9:05 and they were already sold out, yet I've still wasted my morning because I refuse to believe that it could have possibly gone that fast.”
“Did Foo Fighters Manchester sell out already I wasn’t prepared?” another person asked. Another fan said: “Right if everyone can stop trying to buy tickets for Foo Fighters in Glasgow and Manchester for 5 minutes so I can quickly get a couple that would be extremely helpful thanks.”
With such demand for tickets, fans even suggested the band add a third night in Manchester. One said: “Was on ticket master and gigs and tours since 8am, none available for Foo Fighters Manchester. They absolutely need a 3rd date this is insane. I was waiting the entire morning and somehow couldn't get any! Add another date @FooFightersUK!!!”
Tickets for the shows in Manchester began at £82.50 for pitch standing and unreserved seats, whilst reserved seats were available for £104.50. However, some fans noticed that within minutes of getting notifications that tickets had sold out, seats started to appear on resale sites.
On resale site Viagogo, standing tickets were available for around £200 - more than twice the original selling price. Seated tickets were also available for £493 - four times more than what they were on sale for. One person said: “Foo Fighters tickets already £223 per ticket on re-sales.”
Another said: “Foo Fighters tickets appearing on resale websites even before some people got through the queuing process on the official platforms. F****** parasites!!!”
One other fan wrote: “Waited an hour and a half in the queue for Foo Fighters tickets on Ticketmaster. Tried one set of tickets, no luck. Then kicked me out of the queue! Tickets are already on resale sites. Absolutely disgusting for the fans!! #foofighters #ticketmaster.”
A Viagogo spokesperson said: “Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee.
“Having only just gone on sale, and after performing recently at Glastonbury, demand for tickets to see the Foo Fighters’ UK tour is high.
"We want fans to know that sellers’ prices can change and tend to fall over time, so we recommend that fans wait for the demand to settle to find a listing that meets their budget.
“It’s important to note that tickets listed at eye-catching, high levels, rarely, if ever, sell. The current high listings are not reflective of what fans are actually paying for these tickets.”
Ticketmaster and See Tickets have both been contacted for comment.
