Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun has dropped a huge hint that he could be set to commit his international allegiance to the USMNT.
The striker is eligible to represent the United States having been born in New York. Balogun has previously featured for the USA Under-18s back in 2018 but has spent most of his career in the youth ranks at England.
Speculation regarding his international future has accelerated this season following his outstanding form in France. The 21-year-old has scored 18 goals in 29 games for Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims after being allowed to temporarily leave the Gunners in the summer.

And after seemingly being snubbed by England boss Gareth Southgate for this month's international fixtures, USMNT fans have grown in confidence that he will eventually represent their nation in the future.
Balogun was initially named in the England Under-21 squad earlier this month but withdrew due to an injury supposedly picked-up in Reims' 2-1 defeat to Marseille on Sunday. However, eagled-eyed fans are now confident he left the squad to negotiate the switch to Anthony Hudson's side after a social media post.
The striker posted a photo of himself and a friend on his Instagram page. While the picture looks meaningless, Americans have spotted Orlando's 'Pups Pub' in the background, hoping that he is in the country to finalise the switch.
Following the post, fans are now convinced of his decision. Here is what some of them have had to say...
@gc_rmcf: It's happening
@brewsandbelters: This has to be serious. No-one visits Orlando over Miami,
@flameosumeet: BALOGUN BLEEDS RED WHITE AND BLUE
@wengershouse: USMNT waiting for you boss
@weah_30_celtic: That Weah x Balogun link-up is gonna be wild.
@aidan_renninger: Not a drill. US US US US
