Folarin Balogun sends Arsenal fans into transfer frenzy with cryptic social media message

Folarin Balogun has put the Arsenal fans on alert over a potential transfer decision as he prepares for a vital pre-season opportunity under Mikel Arteta.

Having impressed massively for Stade de Reims on loan in France last season he now has the chance to stake a claim in the first team set-up at the Emirates Stadium. However, with competition for places in the Gunners' frontline, Balogun will have to fight off Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah for consistent minutes.

Given the uncertainty over his place and his newfound stardom in European football, Balogun has been attracting plenty of interest from across the world with AC Milan one of many sides linked with him. It will take a £50million ($64.5million) offer to lure him away from north London, though.

What has become apparent is that Balogun will not be heading back out temporarily to prove his worth. He has already admitted that a loan is off the table and it leaves Arteta in a position whereby he either stays with the expectation of serious gametime or is sold despite being a leading goalscorer.

Now, with pre-season preparation underway and the first fixtures around the corner, fans have spotted what they believe to be a hint that he is set to remain. Eagle-eyed supporters on social media have been watching his Instagram activity with intrigue and were delighted to see that Arsenal had been added back into his bio.

Although it is uncertain just when he put the name of his parent club back into the description, it has changed from when Reims were his club. It is normal for such a move for a player but with Balogun's future up in the air, Arsenal fans were quick to celebrate it as evidence of his decision to stay at the club.
