Arsenal starlet Folarin Balogun has released a statement saying farewell to Reims as his loan with the French club comes to an end. The youngster scored 22 goals in a campaign that has been a breakout for the 21-year-old, firmly putting his name into the headlines.
The striker is now set to return to north London for the summer, via a short spell with the USMNT as he was officially handed a first call-up. Balogun was born in New York, but spent his formative years playing for the England youth setup before he finally dedicated to playing for the US.
Before his potential debut in the Gold Cup against Jamaica, the striker has had to say goodbye to Reims as his year on loan has come to an end. Taking to Twitter, he wrote in a statement: "Merci. Never easy to say goodbye, but we’ve arrived at the inevitable destination.

"Last summer I had the opportunity to join n was welcomed with open arms from day-one! The support I've received from you all through-out my loan spell has been incredible and heartwarming. I leave hoping I was able to repay the love, trust and belief you guy’s put in me.
"This will forever be an unforgettable chapter for me and my family. Thank you for everything! Balo."
The next chapter is currently very uncertain as reports claim that the youngster is keen on a potential switch away from Arsenal if he isn't given guarantees over playing time. It remains to be seen whether he does make a move, and if so where, as the transfer window looms large.
