An airline has confirmed that a service removed from Leeds Bradford Airport during winter will not return. Flybe, a British airline that runs flights across the UK and Europe had earlier announced that the route between Leeds Bradford Airport and London Heathrow had finished, following their winter schedule.
The company said that it reviews schedules for each IATA season and the decision was taken to no longer continue three daily flights between Leeds Bradford and Heathrow. The summer schedule for Flybe is not yet released but the airline has since confirmed to LeedsLive that the route has been dropped.
A Flybe spokesperson said: “In line with all airlines, we review our schedules for each IATA season and have decided not to continue serving Leeds Bradford Airport from London Heathrow Airport for the Winter 2022 season.

“However, we remain committed to the airport and continue to serve Belfast City Airport from Leeds Bradford Airport.”
Earlier this month, Leeds Bradford came under scrutiny by residents and an airport campaign group who claimed the airport had 'ignored the rules' by flying 600 extra night flights.
Andy Tate, a GALBA member who lives under the flight path in north west Leeds, said: “We’ve monitored the number of night flights over the summer season using real time flight data information available online.
"LBA was allowed 2,920 night flights but we have found that LBA actually operated an incredible 600 more flights than allowed.
