A disappointed teenage fan was denied a photo op with Floyd Mayweather at the Clippers game on Saturday – because he had painted nails.
The boy approached the undefeated fighter at Staples Center on Saturday in hopes of getting a selfie but was immediately shut down.
Mayweather’s security prompts the fan to back up while Mayweather can be heard in the background saying, “You got painted nails, I don’t take pictures with guys with no painted nails.”
The young fan captured the incident and claimed, “damn boy, Floyd’s a homophobe.”
“Floyd doesn’t want to take a picture with me because my nails are painted. Bruh, really,” he said on the clip, which later surfaced on TMZ.
A rep for Mayweather told the news outlet that he didn’t take the photo because he was rushing to leave the game. He denies claims of homophobia and said it couldn’t be further from the truth.

The 44-year-old retired boxer won 15 major titles throughout his career, which ended with an undefeated record of 50-0.
During a confrontation with Conor McGregor in 2017, Mayweather used a homophobic slur after accusing McGregor of racism.
“You punk. You faggot. You ho,” he said, to which he subsequently apologised. “I spoke on disrespect,” he said.
“Like I said before, it’s certain boundaries we just don’t cross. It’s OK if he wants to say certain things. Even in the press tour when I said something, I didn’t want to be negative towards lesbians or gays when I said something to him. So, I apologise.”
