Floyd Mayweather has come under fire from animal rights activists after installing a mink car seat in his £300,000 Rolls Royce.
The legendary boxer, whose spending is appropriate for his nickname 'Money', has again splashed the cash in order to add a chid's car seat to his plush car. Mayweather shared videos inside his all-yellow interior last week and pal Obi Okeke, known to fans on social media as Doctor Bugatti, showed footage of his change to the seats yesterday.
TMZ reports that PETA, which stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, was incensed by Mayweather's choice of material for the seats. Mink is known as an expensive type of fur, but enrages animal rights activists who argue that the production of products with it is unnecessarily cruel.
In a statement, PETA referenced Mayweather's 2010 misdemeanour battery domestic violence conviction, which saw him jailed. They believe that he should be using his platform to stand up for animal rights, as opposed to flashing his wealth with mink items.
"Did Floyd Mayweather, who has a history of assault and battery of defenceless victims, really seek to update it by supporting an industry that throttles animals to death in addition to poisoning and electrocuting them?" A PETA spokesperson said. "This man is hardly a role model for compassion and understanding. But to try to make cruelty look attractive to a child could earn him a medal for corrupting the natural kindness of a minor.
"PETA is calling on Mayweather to take a jab at teaching kindness, not cruelty, by replacing this monstrosity with faux fur, as most designers, department stores, and consumers have - and PETA would be happy to provide it."
Mayweather is currently working towards his latest exhibition ring return, which will take place this September in Japan. He will face MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in a co-promotional event between Rizin and Mayweather Promotions, although no date or location have been set.

He likely won't be concerning himself with PETA's latest comments, after having a number of brushes with the animal rights group in the past. He infamously angered them with a video where he led a tiger into a hotel room, as well as when he referred to the boxing ring in 2012 as a "doghouse".
"I don't want to get in trouble by - what's the people called, PETA?" Mayweather said at the time. "I don't want to get in trouble with the PETA people, the animal rights people, but s***, I don't give a f***, because I wear mink coats. I'm going to wear chinchilla, and I'm gonna rock mink coats. The same people want to tell you, you can't wear animal fur and s***, they're the same people that's eating chickens, eating cows, eating steak. So f*** what they're talking about."
