Floyd Mayweather confronted Jake Paul over a potential fight after the pair both attended a basketball game in Miami on Wednesday evening.
Boxing legend Mayweather and Paul were both in attendance at the Miami-Dade Arena to watch the Heat lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers and they had a run-in outside the venue after the game. Mayweather could be seen with several members of his entourage next to YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who was visibly uncomfortable in the situation.
The cameraman started to mock Paul for his recent loss to Tommy Fury and threaten to "bust him up" along with other members of the entourage. "What happened? You're not talking no more since your loss? What happened since your loss," the cameraman said. "Yo are we gonna bust him up guys, let's bust him up. Where are you running Jake, where are you going since your fight?" Mayweather can also be heard telling a member of the public to stop filming the confrontation.
Paul is then seen running away from Mayweather and his crew as the cameraman continues to mock him by saying: "Oh he's running! He's running! Jake what's good bro?" Paul responded to the confrontation by tweeting: "Floyd if you want to fight one on one we can do that but don’t try to hop out of three cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night."
'The Problem Child' explained his side of the confrontation in a video as he said: "I'm at the Miami Heat game and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere. Out of some like side alley waiting for me outside of the stadium. They’re like ‘What’s up, what’s all that talk now!’ “I’m like first of all, what did I say to you Floyd? I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it? Come on, bro. Then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me trying to jump me. I’m out of that b****.
“Floyd, you want to run it one-on-one, no problem but I’m not dumb. I’m tough, I don’t need to prove my toughness but I’m not f****** dumb. I’m not going to sit there and try to fight 50 dudes. Dipped out of that b****. Floyd, you’re a h** bro. You’re mad cause I took your f****** hat, are you serious? Get over it, bro. Move on.”

Fans have since come to Paul's defence since the confrontation surfaced online, with many telling him he did the right thing by running away to avoid a potential altercation with Mayweather's running crew. "You don't have to Love Jake to see that he did the most logical thing," one user wrote. "Of course he would run, like eight big dudes came up and pressured him, all of you would if done the same," another added.
The confrontation comes almost two years after Mayweather and Paul clashed at a press event in Miami before the ring legend's exhibition fight against Paul's brother Logan. Paul demanded his own fight against Mayweather and infamously stole his hat, which led to a brawl breaking out and Mayweather even threatening to "kill" the YouTuber-turned-boxer. Paul was left with a black eye after the scuffle and reacted to the incident by tweeting "Gotcha hat".
