Floral tributes and candles today mark the site where tragic Ana Kriegel was murdered - on the fifth anniversary of her death.
Ana’s partially clothed body was discovered at a disused farmhouse in Lucan, Co Dublin, on May 17, 2018 – four days after her parents reported her missing. In 2019, two 14-year-old boys - identified only as Boy A and Boy B - were found guilty of the murder.
And today - five years on from Ana's life being cruelly taken - she is still remembered by people who will never let her memory die. Fresh flowers have been left at the site of the house, along with a candle lit as a tribute to her.

The harrowing murder trial - and the details that emerged - shocked the nation. The jury found the first boy murdered her by causing severe and extensive injuries to her head and neck.
He was also convicted of violently sexually assaulting her. The second boy lured the schoolgirl from her home, knowing what was going to happen, watched the assaults and covered-up afterwards.
The boys were 13 at the time and had pleaded not guilty to all charges. Boy A, who was described by the judge as the “main actor”, was handed a life term and told he must serve at least 12 years before that is reviewed.
He was also given eight years for aggravated sexual assault which will run concurrently. Boy B, who lured Ana to the farmhouse, was sentenced to 15 years detention, to be reviewed after eight years.
In June last year, Ana's father Patrick Kriégel passed away peacefully at his home as hundreds paid tribute to the Kildare man - formerly of Paris, France. Among hundreds of messages of condolence posted online, one mourner wrote: “A surname that is forever etched in my memory.
"I offer my sincere condolences to your family Patrick on their sad loss and may you be reunited now with your beautiful beloved Ana, never to be parted again.
“May you now both rest in eternal peace, Amen.”
