CCTV footage captured the moment a Florida teenager slammed his mother's doctor onto the ground, after she was allegedly prescribed opioids following a procedure earlier this year.

19-year-old Ventura del Castillo Perez confronted his mother's gynecologist, 69-year-old Dr. Steven Silvers, at Mount Sinai Hospital. Silvers reportedly gave the suspects' mother opioids after a procedure which occurred in June, reported 7 News.

"I was going to my office and, at 8:15 in the morning, I briefly had an interaction with this gentleman and then I turned to walk away and he jumped me from the back and beat me, and there's clear video at Mount Sinai Hospital that shows this," said Silver's at Castillo's court hearing.

"He was waiting in the hallway pacing, waiting for me and I know this because I had an international patient who was waiting in the area of the lobby by the elevators and she told my staff afterward, that she was very nervous as she saw this person walking up and down the hallways, up and down the hallways prior to me arriving," Silvers continued.

"My son knows my trauma around drugs," said Castillo's mother, Carolina Perez. "Being given a narcotic for me is something very, like I can't [starts crying]."

She further testified that she was not aware of her son's plans to go to the hospital and confront her doctor.

Brett Silvers, Dr. Steven Silvers' son, also testified in court at the hearing, describing the injuries his father had sustained from the attack.

"My father has two displaced fractures in his left sinus, facial trauma and six facial fractures, a cribriform plate fracture at the base of the skull. Three fractures of the right collar bone, fractures of his fourth rib, his fifth rib and his sixth rib. He has a concussion, a hematoma on his face, a brain bleed," said Brett.

Castillo told law enforcement that Silvers had initially grabbed him, which provoked the attack.

"He grabbed my phone and then grabbed my arm to try to keep me from leaving," began Castillo.

"Then I grabbed the body lock, I lifted, and [unintelligible] he cracked his head by the lockers," he continued.

The judge, who called the attack "savage" disagreed with Castillo's version of events after watching the surveillance video.

"I frankly did not see the doctor grab him. It is possible the doctor was trying to stop him from leaving to talk further to him, but this was a brutal, brutal attack on a 69-year-old man, according to the testimony, who may have other recurring problems" said 11th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Alberto Milian.

Castillo is facing charges of aggravated battery and battery on an emergency medical care provider. He has been denied bond.
