Florida State’s Johnny Wilson had one of the best one-handed catches ever against Oklahoma

Florida State’s Johnny Wilson is a huge reason why his No. 13-ranked team beat Oklahoma, 35-32, on Thursday night in the Cheez-It Bowl, which seldom disappoints.

The sophomore wide receiver led his team with eight catches for 202 yards — a career high for Wilson, who now also owns the Florida State bowl record for most receiving yards — but one reception stands out among the others as one of the greatest we’ve seen this season. And maybe ever.

With the score tied at 32 and about three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis took a huge shot downfield with 6-foot-7 Wilson bolting down the sideline. Fending off Sooners defensive back Justin Broiles, Wilson made a stunning one-handed catch with his right arm while using the other basically to wrestle Broiles to the ground.

It was an incredible 58-yard reception, and it helped set Florida State up for what would be its game-winning field goal. Check it out:

Here are a couple more shots of the catch because this play needs as many angles as possible:

Absolutely jaw-dropping.

And when Oklahoma got the ball back after Florida State’s field goal with less than a minute left, the Sooners squandered their final opportunity to tie the game or take the lead.

Unsurprisingly, college football Twitter COULD NOT BELIEVE Wilson made such a spectacular catch.
