Florida State QB Jordan Travis Shares Classy Message After Seminoles Get Snubbed From CFP

Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis penned a heartbreaking note after the College Football Playoff committee’s decision to leave the Seminoles out of this year’s top four teams to compete for a national championship.

Travis went undefeated in his 11 starts for FSU this season, throwing for 2,755 yards, 20 touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for seven additional scores before he suffered a season-ending leg injury against North Alabama on Nov. 18. Despite Travis’s absence, FSU (13-0) managed to remain undefeated and win the ACC title against Louisville on Saturday.

After the release of Sunday’s rankings, Travis tweeted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he was “devastated” and “heartbroken” about his team not being able to compete for a national championship this season.

“In so much disbelief rn, I wish my leg broke earlier in the season so y’all could see this team is much more than the quarterback. I thought results matter. 13-0 and this roster matches up across any team in those top 4 rankings. I am so sorry. Go Noles!,” Travis tweeted

The CFP committee selected FSU at No. 5, followed by Georgia at No. 6. FSU became the first Power 5 program to be undefeated and not selected as one of the top four teams since the new format began in 2014.
