Florida Man Turns Violent After Being Denied a Free Refill at Kids' Lemonade Stand: Police

Florida Man’s Lemonade Stand Outburst: A Refusal Ignites Violence

A Florida man has been arrested by law enforcement after he allegedly had a violent reaction to multiple children and one adult operating a local lemonade stand, threatening them when they refused to provide him with a free refill.

Steven Cusumano, 45, bought a glass of lemonade from his local neighborhood lemonade stand at 7:30 PM on Tuesday while walking around the area. He then asked for a free refill, which he was denied, according to 97X.

Cusumano reportedly got violent after this, "aggressively" grabbing the wrist of a female adult victim who had been helping with the stand, getting into a fighting stance and threatening to "beat her up". Following the confrontation, he fled on foot but was pursued and soon caught by law enforcement.

Cusumano, who has a lengthy past arrest record including multiple battery convictions, charges for trespassing, drug possession, disorderly intoxication and assault with a deadly weapon, admitted to his role in the incident. However, he stated that his actions were justified because the woman had been "talking s--t" to him.

The battery charge against him was changed to a felony charge due to his arrest record. He is being held at the county jail on a $5,000 bond.
