A Florida man has been arrested for making violent threats against former Vice President Kamala Harris and Rep. Ilhan Omar in a series of racist TikTok videos, including claims that he would use a sniper rifle to assassinate Harris.

On February 11 and 12, 2025, 59-year-old Franklin Jarrell allegedly posted multiple threatening messages on TikTok, according to Law and Crime. His posts targeted Harris and Omar with racist slurs and explicit death threats, prompting an FBI and Secret Service investigation.

Jarrell has a history of making inflammatory remarks online and allegedly holds deep-seated animosity toward Harris, as confirmed by his father.

Jarrell's TikTok threats, which included explicit death threats and racial slurs, were flagged by federal agencies, leading the Secret Service to contact him on February 18. During the call, Jarrell confirmed his account but became hostile, threatening the agent and boasting about his arsenal of weapons.

Later that day, he called the agent 25 times, leaving 21 voicemails filled with additional violent rhetoric. His father attempted to de-escalate the situation, but Jarrell continued his threats.

Jarrell was arrested on the night of February 18 and is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. He faces charges of making threats against a federal official and sending threatening communications across state lines.
