Florida baseball star Jac Caglianone had a brilliant response to what he deemed to be an unfair ejection of his teammate during the Gators’ game on Sunday.
During the series finale against Georgia, Florida pitcher Brandon Neely was ejected by the home plate umpire after he was seen flexing after an inning-ending strikeout. The controversial ejection didn’t sit well with the Gators, who let their play on the field do the talking.
The following inning after Neely’s ejection, Caglianone unloaded a massive grand slam. Rather than celebrate one of baseball’s most exciting plays, the first baseman was stone cold as he trotted the bases and was practically rigid as he crossed home plate into a sea of high fives from his teammates.
Pitcher gets tossed for celebrating a strikeout, so Jac Caglianone mashes a grand slam the very next inning and absolutely does not celebrate.

Clearly taking issue with his teammate’s ejection from Sunday's game, Caglianone responded with the perfect home run celebration by not celebrating at all. He effectively power-walked around the bases and strode straight to the dugout while his Gators teammates congratulated him.
Florida ended up winning the game, 11–6, with Caglianone’s grand slam playing a key role in the victory. The base-clearing bomb was one of his two home runs on the day, bringing his season tally to 21. Oh, and he also started the game on the mound for the Gators, earning a win after pitching five innings.
