And Florence, who hails from Oxford in the UK, said she is delighted to be back and reunited with the cast and crew as she gushed over her time living in Ireland whilst filming last year.
She told Irish Daily Mirror: "Despite us shooting a very difficult story, we had the most amazing time here. We had the most amazing time with our crew. We loved living here. And even though it was hard, it wasn't hard to be here.
"I'd love to[live] to, it's idyllic, I'd love to. As I said it was a very intense storyline shoot, and the whole thing was made possible by the people you are around.
"There is a whole reason why we've come back smiling, it is because of his place and the people and your hospitality, and it made a tricky storyline very easy to make."
Fans braved the rain as they flocked to the Smithfield set up to catch a glimpse of the stars as they made their way into the highly anticipated screening.
Adapted from the bestselling novel by Emma Donoghue of Room fame, and inspired by true stories of the “Fasting Girls” phenomenon – The Wonder also stars Tom Burke, Toby Jones, Ciarán Hinds, Dermot Crowley, Brían F. O'Byrne and David Wilmot.
Set in Ireland, the screenplay is co-written by Lelio and Donoghue along with Alice Birch.
