Florence Pugh and Harry Styles canoodle in bed in first picture from upcoming film Don’t Worry, Darling

The hype for Harry Styles’ burgeoning film career continues, with the latest steamy snap just released from upcoming film Don’t Worry, Darling.

The film, which tells the story of Jack and Alice, a married couple living in a utopian experimental community in California during the 1950s. However, Alice (played by Florence Pugh) soon starts to suspect that Jack’s friends may be hiding some worrying secrets.

In a photograph released by Styles’ girlfriend Olivia Wilde, Styles, 28, is in bed with Pugh, 26 – and the two are staring into each other’s eyes.

Wilde, who directed and also stars as a character named Mary, shared the post with the caption “9.23.22 only in theatres”, referencing the film’s release date.

Wilde, 38, also released the film’s first full-length trailer with audiences at Las Vegas’ CinemaCon on Tuesday, calling it “ambitious” and citing films including Inception and The Matrix as cinematic influences.

"I want you to imagine a life where you have everything you could want," she said. "Not just material things… but true love and friendship. What would it take for you to give up that perfect life? Are you willing to dismantle the system that’s designed to serve the world?"

Wilde also called Styles’ performance “a revelation”, going onto refer to him jokingly as "an up-and-coming actor with no other career that I’m aware of."

The two reportedly kindled their romance on the set of Don’t Worry, Darling, which was shot in America.

They went public in 2021 and have been splitting their time between the UK and US ever since, with Wilde recently confessing that she was “happier than I’ve ever been… all that matters to you is what’s real, and what you love, and who you love.”

As the picture was released, fans took to social media to signal their excitement.

“Screaming crying throwing up,” one excited fan wrote, while Olivia Wilde’s friend Molly Howard added, “Hi and bye internet”.

The film’s upcoming release marks a busy year for Styles: in addition to starring in upcoming film My Policeman alongside The Crown star Emma Corrin, he is set to release his new album, Harry’s House, on May 20.

Speaking ahead of its launch, he teased the album was set to be his most “intimate” yet.
