Flora Saini recalls being abused by her ex-boyfriend; reveals he almost killed her

Flora Saini, who had spoken about being sexually abused by her then live-in partner during the MeToo movement, recently opened up about how he almost killed her and even threatened to kill her parents if she left him.

In an interview with a news portal, the actress said that she left her home to live with film producer and her former boyfriend as he asked her to prove her love for him. The actress added that he was so sweet in the beginning that even her parents were fooled. However, she revealed that within a week, she was being bashed up by him. Flora added that she failed to understand why he was suddenly beating her as in her eyes he was a really good man. She also recalled that her ex had taken away her phone so that she could not call anyone and had threatened to kill her parents if she left him.

Elaborating further, Flora added that one night, he hit her so much that she had a fractured jaw. He also swore on his father that he would kill her that night. Flora revealed that her mother's words echoed in her ears who told her to just run from such a scene and not think about whether she has her clothes on or has money in her purse. So she did the same. She ran to her parents' house and decided she is never going back again.

The actress said she along with her family went to the police station to file a complaint against her ex the next day. Flora said police had refused to file her complaint, and were talking to her ex on the phone and telling him that she had come to file a complaint. She was ultimately able to file a handwritten complaint, Flora told News18.

On the work front, Flora has films like, 'Love In Nepal', 'Dabangg 2', 'Lakshmi' and 'Dhanak' to her credit. She is also known for playing the role of a ghost in Dinesh Vijan's 'Stree', starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
