TRAFFIC Scotland have said that some roads across the country remain closed as the effects of Storm Babet continue.
A red weather warning was in place for parts of eastern Scotland until yesterday afternoon with people in the worst-hit areas facing a lengthy clean-up.
In a post on Twitter/X this morning, Traffic Scotland confirmed: “There are currently NO weather warnings in place!
“Flooding still an issue. The A92 is CLOSED between Melville Lodges and Forgan Roundabout.
“A90 still CLOSED Dundee-Stonehaven. Local access to Brechin still in place.”
What about flood warnings?
While the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) currently has no “severe flood warnings in place”, flooding is still expected in some areas.
Flood warnings are in place in the following areas:
- Kintore
- Kemphill to Bridge of Isla
What about trains?
ScotRail confirmed that it would be able to run “the majority of services” although explained that the following lines remain closed:
- Aberdeen-Dundee
- Aberdeen-Elgin
- Fife Circle
- Inverness-Wick, Thurso & Kyle of Lochalsh
