Flood warnings and alerts in place for Bristol and Gloucestershire

After heavy rain river flooding is probable in parts of England today (January 15, 2023), The Environment Agency reports.

The agency says slower responding rivers, particularly in parts of the West Midlands and North East England, are likely to remain high through the next five days leading to further river flooding impacts at times.

In the South of England further inland flooding impacts are also possible today and into tomorrow. Local groundwater flooding is probable in South England for the next five days.

Properties may flood and there may be travel disruption.
