The Met Office has issued a new amber weather warning for this evening - as huge events take place across Greater Manchester.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast to roll in from 5.45pm until 9pm this evening, with weather warning now being put in place across the north west this evening. The bad weather comes in as Manchester's biggest festival, Parklife, is in full swing and the UEFA Champions League final is soon to kick off.
'Flooding is likely and could happen quickly', the Met Office has warned this evening (June 10) - and floodwater could even 'cause danger to life', says the forecaster. A month's worth of rain is expected to fall over the course of just a few hours.

The Met Office has released a list of what to expect as the bad weather comes in:
What to expect
- Flooding of homes and businesses is likely and could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds
- Fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, causing danger to life
- Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely
- Spray and sudden flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Some communities likely to become cut off if roads flood
- Power cuts likely to occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost
The Met Office has added: "Very heavy showers and thunderstorms have developed along a line running from the Worcestershire towards northeast Wales and Merseyside. The most intense showers are expected to transfer northwards with time.
"As such some locations could see multiple showers and thunderstorms, resulting in 50-60 mm of precipitation in an hour or so (this represents around a month's worth of rain), and perhaps some isolated spots seeing more than 100 mm in a few hours. Lightning, hail, and perhaps towards the east of this area the odd strong gust of wind, will be additional hazards."
