FIVE flood warnings have been issued across Scotland due to heavy rainfall.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) has warned that flooding is “expected” in multiple areas as Scots brace themselves for more severe weather.
On Monday the Met Office issued a weather warning for rain covering Stirling, Dumfries and Galloway, and Strathclyde that came into force at 9pm on Monday, February 3 and ended at 1pm on Tuesday, February 4.
Sepa have also issued a flood alert for Ayrshire and Arran, Aberfoyle, Dumfries and Galloway, Tayside and parts of West Central Scotland.
The warnings came into effect on Tuesday morning and will remain until further notice.
In the alert, Sepa said flooding can be expected in low-lying land and roads due to surface water and river flooding.
It added that it would continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates if the situation changes.
Locals are also being urged to “act now” to protect their land and property and anyone who faces flooding can call Floodline on 0345 988 1188.
