Dublin Airport wrote: "Due to confirmed drone activity, flight operations at Dublin Airport have been suspended."
Previous drone activity over a fortnight in February led to significant delays and passengers missing out their flights.
Operating a drone within 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) of the airport's infrastructure and airspace is illegal, according to Irish Aviation Authority outlined.
Following a similar incident on February 21, Dublin Airport said: "On the day in which a second person in two weeks has been charged with flying a drone near Dublin Airport, we would remind drone users that it is illegal to fly a drone within 5km of the airport. Severe punishments must follow for anyone found guilty."
One passenger, who had boarded a flight in Dublin on their way to Bristol said they were "stuck" on the runway following the disruption caused by the drone.
Another posted a screengrab of a flight tracking website.
They said: "Airplanes currently circling around and one big heading towards Belfast.....this must just be dealt with once and for all."
Dublin Airport said updates are due to follow.
