MANGALURU: The flight operations , both arrival and departure at Mangaluru International Airport have been affected due to technical issues on Sunday evening.
MIA spokesperson in a press release stated that technical issue with the runway lighting, flights to and from Mangaluru have been been affected. The issue started around 7pm on Sunday.
As a results of the issue, IndiGo flight from Mumbai (6E5188 ) was diverted to Kannur International Airport.
Meanwhile , the departure of Air India Express flight to Bahrain (IX 789) has been put on hold (scheduled departure 8.05pm). “Incoming flights from Chennai and Bengaluru likely to be delayed. The engineering team is already on the ground working to rectify the issue,” spokesperson stated.
MIA spokesperson said that the technical issue was resolved at 9.30pm. The issue was noticed around 7.45pm. Flight operations will resume at the earliest.
