A flight attendant has shared expert advice on TikTok, explaining why everyone boarding a plane should carry alcohol wipes with them. Cici, who began her career as cabin crew at the age of 46 with Delta Airlines, goes by @cici.inthesky on the video sharing platform and now has over 300k followers.
Providing tips for fliers to make their trips more comfortable, she described the value of packing alcohol wipes, saying: "Something you want to make sure you have on your carry-on for your next flight."
"Head over to the drug store… go to the first aid section, grab some alcohol wipes. Here's four uses for your next trip."
For those who suffer from travel sickness, Cici says the wipes can help reduce nausea: "Next time you're on a flight and you're feeling a little nauseous you can take one of them out, just open it up and smell it, and it helps with nausea."
The second use for the alcohol wipes is to get rid of nasty odours, with Cici advising people pop one inside their shoes if they're particularly nasty smelling. Passengers can also use them to wipe their underarms if they've forgotten deodorant. The wipes work in eliminating bad smells as they kill the bacteria responsible for producing them.
After sharing her expert advice, Cici was flooded with comments thanking her. User SixB33 replied: "Scented hand sanitizer has saved me on a no-deodorant day!"
Ashley wrote: "I get nauseous all the damn time and I use alcohol at home to calm it down but I never thought to travel with it! Putting a few in my makeup bag now."

Cici applied to become a flight attendant and travel the world after her sister made the career switch. With her guidance, Cici was able to get through the multiple interviews and was accepted onto a an intense eight-week training course.
Describing the process on her blog, Cici said: "We were taught safety procedures, emergency protocols, and customer service techniques. We also had to pass numerous written and practical exams before we could graduate."
