A flight attendant has disclosed what they do to ensure their hotel room is secure from any intruders in order to stay safe.
Sharing the video on TikTok as @cici.inthesky, she said that before settling in, she leaves her hotel room door open and then looks in the wardrobe, shower and behind the curtains for any hints of danger.
After being comfortable, she then grabs a washcloth to ensure the door is locked, The Mirror reports.

In the video, she tucks the washcloth inside the door lock, and then closing it fully, is ensured that it would be extra difficult for any potential intruders in the night.
She also shared another tip. She suggested using alarmed door wedges as an extra security measure while sleeping, to be alerted if the door opens while asleep.
She also covers the keyhole, which she usually does with some tissue.
Another cabin crew member, Esther, who flies with KLM, told holidaymakers to "always" throw a bottle of water under the bed when first entering a hotel room, to "check that no one is under the bed without looking".
Halee, who says she has worked in the hotel industry for 15 years, said that you could be putting yourself at risk of being bitten by bed bugs if you don't check.
Turn off the lights and check with a flashlight. She warns that bed bugs like "corners and the creases" of bedding and linen.
"The reason you should check your bed with the lights off is because bed bugs are actually nocturnal so they’re more likely to be out and about looking for their prey," she added.
