Flex Mami Just Dropped ‘Period Talk Conversation Cards’ To Help Tackle Taboos

Absolute icon Flex Mami has teamed up with U by Kotex to create a limited-edition set of ‘Period Talk Reflex Cards’. The cards are designed to help facilitate real conversations about periods, featuring 25 thought-provoking questions and discussion topics that promote meaningful dialogue about period comfort, protection, and progress.

The launch comes as new research reveals over 54 per cent of young Australian women between 15 and 25 agree that their period is holding them back. This has led to almost 69 per cent of Gen Z women wishing they could speak more openly and vulnerably about their period.

Flex already has a line of beautiful conversation cards, so this new collaboration is the next right fit. Regarding the collab, Flex expressed how excited she was to create something meaningful. “It’s so harrowing that even in 2024, many people still feel lingering shame, discomfort and rigidity when talking about their period,” Flex says. “The U by Kotex x Flex Mami Period Talk ReFlex cards are the perfect tool to help broaden our ideas around the reality of menstruation. First comes talk, and next comes action. I’m so excited to see how society’s attitudes towards periods evolve to centre on possibilities, not limitations.”

The cards are filled with questions like, “Have you ever lied about your period?” and “Who taught you about periods?” and aim to create a conversation between friends, family, or anyone looking to foster a deeper understanding of menstruation.

The best part about the collab is that the Period Talk Reflex Cards are free, all you have to do is pay for the postage/shipping costs.

The collab has already sold out once now, so if you want a set, you better snap them up real quick. You can shop them below.
