'Flat, dead, done' - 'Defeated' Clement must be sacked now demands Rangers hero Boyd

Kris Boyd has demanded Rangers sack Philippe Clement NOW.

The former Ibrox hero has insisted the manager looks "defeated" and cannot be allowed to continue in his management post.

Boyd reckons an interim must be placed in charge at Rangers with the club having "reached as low as it possibly has got".

The Sky Sports pundit branded Clement an "energy zapper" as he blasted a sense of players and staff "going through the motions".

He said: "I look at it right now, the manager just seems to be an energy zapper. The energy has gone from the stands, from the players on the pitch.

"Even looking at the staff sometimes, there is no vibe of, 'I'm at Rangers Football Club and I'm proud to be there' it is just going through the motions.

"That comes from...you need a leader, you need someone at the top."

In a furious on-air rant, Boyd insisted the feeling in the dressing room is "flat, it's dead, it's done" as he demanded Clement has to be dismissed immediately after the loss to St Mirren.

"You just get the feeling it has now reached as low as it can possibly get," continued Boyd. "The stands are empty, it has reached as low as it possibly has got.

"Philippe Clement we are used to him coming out with excuses, he looked defeated, you just feel it is time up.

"You're going to have to pay Philippe Clement off anyway. It needs to be done now.

"I've been saying it for months, this has been on the decline for months, you can tell you only need to look at the players.

"Yes, they need to shoulder some of the responsibility but there is no style of play.

"You look at right now, for me, it can't get any worse. Philippe Clement has got to go.

"Find an interim, put him in charge. Now. We have all been in dressing rooms where it is flat, it's dead, it's done. This is where it is at.

"He was done as well, you could tell. There was absolutely nothing yesterday, there was just an acceptance."
