Canterbury are poised to spring a selection surprise and recall Kyle Flanagan at halfback to take on Penrith.
Flanagan has not played all season, and appeared just four times in the back half of last season after being dropped midway through 2021.
It's believed the 23-year-old will be named in Bulldogs side for Sunday's clash with the reigning premiers, set to wear the No.7 jersey alongside Matt Burton, with Brandon Wakeham dropping out of the starting team.
