Fixtures confirmed for MacRory Cup, MacLarnon Cup and Mageean Cup

Defending MacRory Cup champions St Mary’s Magherafelt will renew rivalries with beaten finalists Holy Trinity, Cookstown after being drawn in the same group for this season’s renewal.

Joining the 2022 finalists in Group C will be St Pat’s Armagh and St Pat’s Armagh, both of whom faced Magherafelt last term.

St Mary’s manager Kevin Brady will be able to call upon five of last year’s MacRory Cup winning team again this season.

College All Stars Conhuir Johnston (Cargin) and Niall O’Donnell (Ballinderry) remain key players for the convent while James Gribbin (Newbridge), Ruairi Forbes (Ballinderry) and John Lavery (Magherafelt) also featured in February’s win over Cookstown.

The 2023 decider will return to the Athletic Ground in Armagh next February with the group stages set to get under way in November.

The Mageean Cup gets going next month with defending champions St Patrick’s, Downpatrick in Group A along with Cross and Passion, St Pat’s Knock and St Mary’s CBS.

Last year’s beaten finalists St Pat’s, Maghera are in Group B with St Louis’ Ballymena and St Killian’s Garron Tower.

The Mageean Cup final will take place on Friday, December 16 at The Dub.

The final of the MacLarnon Cup, meanwhile, will be played as a standalone fixture on the same weekend as the MacRory Cup final.
