It's shaping up to be a busy week and there is a lot to look out for.
National events are set to have a big impact on the city this week as the battle to become the new Prime Minster intensifies following the resignation of Liz Truss. Hallowe'en is also on the way and there is a host of exciting things to do across the city. With so much going on it will be hard to keep track of everything but don't worry we have put together a list of what you need to look out for next week.

Race for Prime Minster
The race is on to become the next Prime Minister of the UK following Liz Truss's resignation on Thursday after just 44 days in office. Former chancellor Rishi Sunak has now entered the race and ex-PM Boris Johnson is rumoured to be joining the contest.
The candidates need to secure the backing of at least 100 Tory MPs to get onto the ballot. Nominations for the next Conservative Party leader and PM are now open and will close at 2pm on Monday, October, 24. Keep yourself up to date with our political news here.
Ajax vs Liverpool
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to bottom-of-the-league Nottingham Forest in their penultimate Champions League group match in Ajax on Wednesday, 26 . The reds won their first game against the Dutch side in a 2-1 victory at Anfield courtesy of a late goal by Joël Matip.
As long as Liverpool secures at least one point from their remaining two group games, they will confirm their place in the last 16. Keep up to date with the latest sports news here.
World Gymnastics Championships
The World Gymnastics Championships 2022, one of the largest sporting events ever to be held in Liverpool, begins on Saturday.
The Championships, taking centre stage at the M&S Bank Arena, will involve more than 500 volunteers. The 555-strong volunteer army will be supporting the competition delivery across 30 different roles. The volunteers span from 18 to 85 years old and between them speak 34 languages.
More than 400 gymnasts from more than 70 countries will compete at the M&S Bank Arena from 29 October to 6 November 2022 . You'll find more information here.
Tales from the Necropolis
Tales from the Necropolis is a new ghost tour through St James' Cemetery, behind Liverpool Cathedral. Participants join friendly guides, Mr Roberts and Miss Llewellyn, as they share incredible stories of ghosts, witches, vampires, demonic shadow entities and friendly elf-like creatures.
The tour, which starts on Friday, is the perfect adventure for those who are curious about Liverpool's supernatural history. Tours last approximately one hour and 20 minutes, with tickets priced from £15 per adult. To find out more about Tales from the Necropolis, click here.
Bombed Out Church Horror Night
The Bombed Out Church will be hosting Horror Night on October 29. The event includes open-air, late-night film screenings accompanied by a full- stocked bar, hot drinks and a range of snacks. The films on show include disturbing and surreal movie 'The Lighthouse' (rated 15) and the horrifying classic 'Hellraiser' (rated 18). Prepare to be on the edge of your seats.
