Five taken to hospital following crash involving garda car in Crumlin

Five people were taken to hospital after a crash involving a garda car on Sunday evening in Dublin 12.

Two gardai were among those injured following the collision involving a garda car and another vehicle on the Crumlin Road. Gardai and emergency services raced to the scene of the accident last night.

All five of the injured people were taken to St James' Hospital for treatment. A garda spokesman told Dublin Live it is believed none of the injuries suffered are life-threatening.

He said: "Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision which occurred earlier this evening on the Crumlin Road in Dublin 12.

"An official Garda car collided with another vehicle. A total of five persons, including two Garda members were taken to St James' Hospital to receive medical treatment. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening."
