Five stunning Co Fermanagh AirBnBs perfect for a summer staycation

It’s getting to that time of year, the weather might not be showing it yet but we are coming into spring and the evenings are getting ‘quare’ stretch longer.

It’s also that point of the year where we’re stuck between the cosy winter days and the summer season. What better time to start thinking about a summer getaway?

Co Fermanagh has seen booming staycation numbers as people flock from all over Ireland and further afield to experience natural beauty and a hiving food and drink scene.

With the number of AirBnB properties listed across the county in Enniskillen and beyond, we thought we’d put together a list of some of the best ones we came across during a quick search this week.

We searched for three nights in June to see what was available, and here’s five of the best we found:

Picturesque views over Enniskillen

River Cottages, Enniskillen (AirBnB)

Those from the town will have seen these stunning properties on the banks of the main waterway in Enniskillen.

The views over the water and Enniskillen Castle are hard to beat, and what's inside isn't bad either.

Just a short walk away from all the shops, restaurants and bars in the town, sure what else would you need?

It's pricey at £350 per night, but sleeps up to 10 guests so perfect for a large group.

Cosy thatched cottage

Ever wanted to stay a cosy old style cottage with a thatched roof? Now's your chance...

Just outside Belcoo, this cottage is on AirBnB in June for just £40 per night. Just don't be bringing the whole family!

According to the description, the 250 year old thatch cottage named after the famous explorer Eduardo-Alfred Martel who is famous for charting the Marble Arch cave system.

Converted barn

Converted barn in Derrygonnelly (AirBnB)

We came across this next rustic option near Derrygonnelly and thought it would make a great spot for a getaway.

'Rooskey Cottage ' as it is known is a converted barn and is situated on a working family farm. There are peacocks, hens, ducks and springer spaniels roaming free

Perfect for any of you animal lovers!

Five star luxury

Swallow Lane, outside Enniskillen (AirBnB)

Fancy something just that wee bit more luxurious? This five star property is just two miles outside Enniskillen and is finished to perfection.

The description says it is 'meticulously presented, modern, semi-detached 2 storey house, with chic interior design'.

At £157 per night it is a little more expensive, but can sleep up to 7 people.

Captain's Cove

Captain's Cove (AirBnB)

Something a little bit quirky about this one and perfect for someone who wanted to have their own private pub for a few days.

This looks like a great little spot to chill out in, and you can pay extra to rent kayaks and even a hot tub.

Situated in the rural area of Boho, at £77 per night it's a steal.
