A popular zoo and animal sanctuary has given fans a treat by offering to keep its doors open for free on New Year's Day.
With most stores and venues closed on January 1, there is not much to do for bored families, and the Five Sisters Zoo is offering a day out to help keep the kids entertained.
Posting on their official Facebook page, the Five Sisters team wrote: "Although the zoo is closed on New Year's Day we have decided to leave the entrance open for anyone wanting a walk around.
"There will be no admittance charge although optional donations are always welcome."
