FIVE Scotland fans have been injured in a head-on crash near a German airport, according to reports.
German media have reported five Scottish people were involved in a car crash just outside Weeze Airport, near Düsseldorf.
Two of the five people's injuries have been described as serious.
Emergency crews, including four ambulances, were called to the scene on Thursday evening.
The Daily Record has also reported the five people who were involved are supporters of the Scotland football team and had landed in Germany after flying from Edinburgh for the Euros.
They had rented a car and had just started their journey from the airport before they were involved in a head-on collision on the wrong side of the road.
A source told the Record: "The fans had just arrived from Edinburgh and had hired a rental car.
“There was a huge emergency response with ambulances parked waiting to take casualties to hospital.
“It looked like all five in the car were injured, with two of them appearing to be seriously hurt.”
The German police have been contacted for comment.
